Thane: A 27-year-old man was duped of Rs 4 lakh by online cheats operating on social networking sites on the pretext of investing in a charitable trust. The accused asked the victim to invest Rs 4 lakh in Rs 2000 and Rs 500 notes. In exchange the victim would be given a 15% commission against the investment said police. The complainant took a loan of Rs 4 lakh from a bank. The victim realised that has been duped when he did not get the promised amount. TNN
