Bhopal: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress leader Kamal Nath on Friday attacked the state government over the alleged reports of corruption in the construction of ‘Mahakal Lok’ in the famous Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain.
“Now the news of corruption in the construction work of Mahakal Lok of Ujjain is worrying. The sentiments of crores of people have been hurt by these news,” Nath tweeted in Hindi.

Targeting the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led state government, the senior Congress leader said corruption and scams have become an integral part of his government.

“Cases of corruption come to the fore in every scheme, every work in the Shivraj government. Whether it is the matter of nutrition, ration to the poor, construction of Karam Dam or from the former Simhastha to plantation, Vyapam, dumper, e-tender and other matters,” Nath said.

He demanded an impartial and high-level inquiry into the corruption allegation in the construction of ‘Mahakal Lok’, and punishment for the guilty.

“There should be an impartial, high-level inquiry. Whoever is guilty of this, should not be spared,” he said on Twitter.
