With scammers constantly coming up with more and more ways to sneakily part us from our cash, it’s understandable that thousands of us get caught out.
Gleeful fraudsters hoover up millions of pounds each year from an unsuspecting public, with many even posting the names and addresses of their victims on the dark web so others can target them.
Which? consumer rights expert told iNews: “Scammers are always looking for new ways to trick people into handing over their hard-earned cash – using everything from doorstep frauds to cold calls or scam messages pretending to be from a company or relative.”

Trade association UK Finance has a campaign called Take Five To Stop Fraud, which offers some excellent advice to help consumers avoid scams.
