Drunken driving, Lake Road
On July 23 at 4:54 a.m. an officer stopped a driver for a traffic violation. After speaking with the man, the officer suspected he had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and the 30-year-old Cleveland resident was arrested. During a search of the car, officers found two catalytic converters that had been cut off cars, and a sawzall.

On July 15 at 1:56 a.m. an officer stopped a driver for a traffic violation. After speaking with the man, the officer believed the driver was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Field sobriety tests were administered, and the 18-year-old Avon Lake resident was arrested.
Suspicious, Wildbrook Drive
On July 15 at 8:53 a.m. a resident reported she woke up at 2:45 a.m. and looked out the window. She saw the lights in her husband’s unlocked car on, and a man running down the driveway to a waiting van. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the van. Nothing appeared to be missing from inside the car.
Theft, Bradley Road
On July 15 at 3:56 p.m. a resident reported that someone stole the power pole from his front yard. He is remodeling the house, and the pole was for temporary power to the house.
Theft, Cahoon Road
On July 16 at 12:49 p.m. a woman reported her car was broken into and her Louis Vuitton purse was stolen. Someone broke a window to gain access to the car.
