Driver charged after dispute with construction crew

Norfolk OPP were called to a traffic complaint on St. Andrew Street in Port Dover at about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, August 24.
Police say a motorist and road construction workers became involved in an incident when the driver refused to follow the directions of the road crew.
Officers located the vehicle on Market Street East and took the 31-year-old Hamilton man into custody for failing or refusing to comply with a demand, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and causing a disturbance.
Jewelry stolen from residence
A 30-year-old Norfolk resident has been charged with theft over $5,000 and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
Norfolk OPP say that about $7,300 worth of jewelry was stolen from a St. Andrew Street home in Port Dover between August 14 and 23.

The accused has been held in custody.
Mailbox stolen
A mailbox was reported stolen from a Highway 59, North Walsingham address in Norfolk County on Thursday morning.
Norfolk OPP say the decorative, black plastic mailbox valued at $150 was unscrewed and removed from its location at the end of a driveway.
