Other residents have reported random workers showing up in beat-up / old trucks, telling homeowners they had enough left-over material from a previous job to re-seal their driveway for a fraction of the cost that most could. If a non-established company that sub-contracts work being done on your home lacks insurance, the cost of repairing damage they cause could fall on the homeowner.
In addition to incorrect work being done – – if a roofer lacks insurance and a worker falls off your roof, you could be sued and possibly forced to pay for their injuries. Always ask about a company’s proof of insurance and their safety plan… You don’t want to be the safety net for the company you hire.
