Liberal’s tealwash just doesn’t wash

I wish Liberal candidate Kylie von Muenster luck in convincing voters that she is the same as the teals, and presumably Labor, when it comes to the environment.

She’ll need it (“Eco-aware Liberal candidate says teals are the same as her”, January 9).

Regardless of her views, the reality is that, if elected, she would be one small cog in a party machine that has shown little interest in actually dealing with environmental issues.

Moderate Liberals such as Dave Sharma at the last federal election tried to spin the same line and voters did not buy it.

I suspect von Muenster will have trouble convincing voters to support her for the environment vote when voters can choose other candidates from parties that have proven environmental credentials.
