HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Aug. 24 and Aug. 29.
The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

- Forgery at West Hillcrest Avenue and Woodleigh Road on Aug. 24 at 4:16 pm. – Victim reported that a check was altered and someone attempted to cash it.
- Theft at the 500 block of Harriet Lane on Aug. 25 at 2:44 p.m. – Victim discovered $539.75 worth of unauthorized purchases made with his credit card.
- Fraud at the 600 block of Grand Avenue on Aug. 25 at 7:30 p.m. – The victim reported that she received a letter stating that her lease was going to expire. She called the number provided and gave the person her name, social security number and zip code before recognizing the scam.
- Identity Theft at the unit block of East Marthart Avenue on Aug. 25 at 3:57 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to open an AT&T account and purchased an i-phone and iPad.
- Retail Theft at Acme, 600 block of West Lancaster Avenue, on Aug. 26 at 4:45 p.m. – An unknown male stole approximately $250 worth of groceries.
- Theft at McSorley’s Ale House, 2300 block of Haverford Road, on Aug. 27 at 4:13 p.m. – A backpack was stolen from a table when it was left…
